Spring Dresses! What’s In!

It’s that time of year when new colors and new clothes are appearing in the stores. Are you one of those that are overwhelmed or excited to be shopping? I definitely get excited! But I am here to help you if get overwhelmed. One of my favorite things about Spring and Summer is the abundance of dresses. Do you love dresses? Hate dresses? Don’t know what to do about dresses?

Here’s why I love dresses:

1. So comfy but yet so stylish!

2. One main article of clothing. Then accessorize with cute shoes, jewelry, scarves, etc.

3. Let’s be honest, pants get tight after eating too much. Dresses – free movement.

4. Lots of choices and you don’t have to match to anything else!

Is that enough to convince you to try dresses? Hopefully it will be! Now let me help you out picking out some of the current styles, so you feel fashionable when you’re out and about around town.

Floral

Floral dresses are very popular right now and the flowers range from all sort of sizes! Let’s look at a few. This one is very pretty with small flowers.

Macy’s

This next dress has a much bigger floral pattern on it, with a very popular color combination right now – yellow and grey!

Nordstrom

Shirt Dress

The Shirt Dress has been very popular the last few years but in plain colors. This year I’ve seen it in more patterns. This first one is my favorite – it’s a snake print but it’s a little more subtle.

Macy’s

If you’re not into patterns, don’t worry, they still have the plain shirt dresses, but with a little more styling than last year. Like this one:

JCPenney

Maxi

I love Maxi Dresses. But I’m short, so I never really think I can pull them off. But I did buy one in Cabo San Lucas last year and I wear it and love it. I just love the look and the comfort of them. I believe Maxi dresses are truly more pool side, causal dresses, if you are short like me. 🙂 But if you are tall and can wear them, then you are blessed! Here are two of my favorites that I found.

Macy’s

Kohl’s

One-Shoulder

Now I admit, I almost left this one out, because I have issues with asymmetrical items, but for your sake, I left it in. It’s very much in style this season. You just won’t catch me wearing it! 😉 But they look nice on other people. 🙂

JcPenney

Nordstrom

Causal Cotton

This is one of my favorite – so easy to throw on, pair with a sandal and run errands. I love these dresses, especially living here in Atlanta because they “breathe” and don’t get too hot! Here are a few of my favorite:

Ann Taylor Loft

Macy’s

Out of all those dresses, did you find a favorite? I hope so! Just to help you a little further, here are some of my favorite places to shop for dresses (online and in-store)

Macy’s

Nordstrom

JcPenney

Modcloth

Ann Taylor Loft

Banana Republic

Old Navy

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions!
