Haute-lanta Fashion Week

Last weekend was Fashion Week here in Atlanta! For my birthday, my husband and I went to Opening Night and overall it was a lot of fun! The main reason we went was because I got a great deal through KGB Deals and got the tickets half off! I’ve never been to a fashion show before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was disappointed not to see the Real Housewives of Atlanta there. I mean the Real Housewives of New York are always going to the Fashion Shows! (Ok, see where my perspective is about to come from? ;-))

Before the show started, there were some drinks and great booths to look at. I got a little touch up on my make-up from a wonderful lady named Shalawn, who manages the Atlanta Lamik branch. But I’m not going to talk too much on Lamik today because I have a special post on Lamik later this week! 🙂 But we saw some great paintings, purses and ate some cute cupcake sticks. Yum! They were heavenly!

Also before the show, there were  models with these great hats! Check them out! They did such a great job of modeling them for us, “photographers”.

I couldn’t take pictures during the shows but for the most part I really liked the fashion. But I do watch so much Project Runway, I had Nina Garcia on one shoulder and Michael Kors on the other. 😉 “That skirt is too short!” “Where is the hem? It’s not hemmed!” Lol. But it was a lot of fun. I ended up with a front row seat somehow but I got separated from my hubby.

Overall I enjoyed myself but if I were to do it again, I don’t think I would take my husband (he was bored and there was too many short skirts and exposed boobage) and I definitely would only do it if I had the coupon. There were long waits for it to start and in between the designers. But again, all in all, it was interesting and I enjoyed seeing the fashion and just going for the first time! I hope you enjoy the pictures I was able to take!
